Murder Suspect Arrested

R. MAGSAYSAY, Zamboanga del Sur - Combined operatives of Ramon Magsaysay Municipal Police Station, Molave Municipal Police Station and General Santos City Police Station 4 conducted manhunt operation (Service of Warrant) at Purok 2, Barangay Esperanza, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 8:30 AM of June 13, 2019.

Police Brigadier Gen. Froilan F Quidilla, PRO9 Director said the operation resulted in the arrest of Junjie Somugue Dumoloy alias Jungie, 48 years old, married, with address of Prk 8, Brgy Ambago, Butuan City and Purok 2, Barangay Esperanza, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga Del Sur.

He was arrested for the crime of Murder under Criminal Case No. 2019-10-3678 signed and issued by Executive Presiding Judge, Branch 23, 9th Judicial Region, Zamboanga Del Sur dated April 26, 2019 with no bail recommended.

The arrested person is now in custody of Ramon Magsaysay MPS for proper disposition.

Arrest of Wanted Person

RAMON MAGSAYSAY, Zamboanga del Sur - Police operatives of Ramon Magsaysay Municipal Police Station conducted police operation (Service of Arrest Warrant) at Purok 6, Barangay Poblacion, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga del Sur at about 5:00 PM, June 6, 2019.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Cherryl Tapayan Y Sarong, 40 years old, male, married, Barangay Chairman of Brgy. Katipunan, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga del Sur.

He was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of three (3) counts of Slight Physical Injuries and one (1) count of Less Serious Physical Injuries, docketed in Criminal Case Nos. 19-10,1608; 19-10, 1609; 19-10,1610; and 19-10,1611 respectively, all dated May 27, 2019 issued by Presiding Judge, RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 30, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur with a total recommended bail bond amounting to Php200,000.00.

He is now temporarily detained at Ramon Magsaysay MPS detention cell while waiting for commitment order from the court.

Grave Threat Incident

RAMON MAGSAYSAY, Zamboanga del Sur - Grave threat incident transpired at Purok 1, Barangay Sinaguing, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga del Sur at about 1:20 PM of May 8, 2019.

Police Brigadier Gen. Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Director identified the victim as Benjamin M. Calib-og, Barangay Chairman of Sinaguing Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga del Sur.

PNP team of RM MPS while conducting police visibility patrol along the National Highway, particularly at the vicinity of Purok 1, Barangay Sinaguing, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga del Sur, when Hon. Benjamin M. Calib-og, Barangay Captain of Sinaguing Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga del Sur, approached to stop the patrol car and reported that there were unidentified persons on board with single motorcycles, and alleged that one of the those person drew a short firearm and pointed at him.

PNP responding team arrived at the area and frisked Jerry Dagooc y Mocoy, 42 years old, male, married, member of Philippine Army in AWOL status and a resident of Purok 4, Barangay Gapasan, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga del Sur, that was positively pinpointed by Hon. Benjamin M. Calib-og the one who drew a cal. 45 pistol at him.

Recovered from the suspect was one holster with markings “Blue Dot 19”. The suspect was brought at Ramon Magsaysay Municipal Police Station for filing of appropriate case.

Driver Held for the Crime of Act of Lasciviousness

RAMON MAGSAYSAY, Zamboanga del Sur (March 20, 2019) - PNP personnel of Ramon Magsaysay Municipal Police Station conducted police operation (Service of Arrest Warrant) at Purok 1, Barangay Sinaguing, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga del Sur at about 10:05 AM, 19 March 2019.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Jerome Batanay Y Ligan, 21 years old, single, driver by occupation, and a resident of Purok 1, Barangay Sinaguing, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga del Sur.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of Act of Lasciviousness, docketed under Criminal Case 15-10,1163, dated 16 December 2015, issued by Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court 9, Branch 30, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur with bail bond fixed at twelve thousand pesos (Php 12, 000.00).

He is now under the custody of said police station for inquest.

Councilor of San Fernando, Cebu City Shot Dead in Zamboanga Del Sur

RAMON MAGSAYSAY, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 23, 2019) - Shooting incident transpired at Purok 2, Barangay Poblacion, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 6:30 AM of February 23, 2019.

PCSUPT Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Regional Director identified the victim as Alfonso Salmero Donaire IV, 37 years old, married, a Sangguniang Bayan Member of San Fernando, Cebu City.

He was shot to death by unidentified motorcycle riding suspects (MRS) onboard undetermined type of single motorcycle, accordingly the driver was wearing a face mask, while the back rider was wearing a jacket with under garment and long pants.

Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim was walking at the above-mentioned place of incident going to his father’s residence at Purok 2, Barangay Poblacion, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga del Sur, when unidentified motorcycle riding suspects followed the victim and shot several times using caliber 45 and 9mm pistol. Victim sustained gunshot wounds on the different parts of his body which resulted to his instantaneous death, while suspects fled to the direction of Molave Municipality, Zamboanga Del Sur.

PNP personnel of Ramon Magsaysay Municipal Police Station immediately conducted hot pursuit operation for the possible arrest of the fleeing suspects. Evidence recovered from the crime scene were three (3) fired cartridge case of caliber 45 pistol and two (2) fired cartridge case of caliber 9mm pistol.

Victim now lies at the residence of his father located at Purok 2, Barangay Poblacion, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga Del Sur, while motive of the incident still to be determine. (By JONG CADION with PRO9 PIO PR and photo)

Pedestrian Died in Non-Vehicular Traffic Accident

RAMON MAGSAYSAY, Zamboanga del Sur (Jan. 14, 2019) -  Non traffic accident transpired along the old National Highway, near a Church, at Barangay Switch, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga del Sur at about 5:50 in the afternoon of January 13, 2019.

The accident was involving a single MC, Suzuki Smash 125 color gas pink with plate number 0901- 0281904 under the name of Gemme B. Areglo and driven by Jay-Ar Agas Y Main, 34 years old, married and a resident of Barangay Campo Uno, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur accidentally bumped a male pedestrian identified as Artemio Acapardo, 69 years old, married , and a resident of Barangay Switch, Ramon Magasaysay, Zamboanga Del Sur.

Investigation revealed that the male pedestrian was about to cross the old national highway, near a church accidentally bumped by the said single MC traversing from Molave, Zamboanga del Sur going to Aurora Zamboanga Del Sur.

Pedestrian sustained injuries at the different parts of his head and body that made him unconscious.

Immediately said victim was brought to Blancia Hospital, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur for medical attention but pronounced dead on arrival according to the attending Physician Dr. Rico Ocampo.

Furthermore, the driver of single MC sustained injuries to his right eyebrow and scratches at his left knee and was brought to Ramon Magsaysay Rural Health Center, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga Del Sur for medical attention.

The said driver is now under the custody of Ramon Magsaysay MPS for proper disposition.
